Elevation

I can sort of estimate the elevation gain and steepness from the profiles but does anybody have the actual measure of eet gined for each day?

Yes - although I am missing the option for day one - I think it is 800 feet

Day 1 - 2,700 ft
Day 2 - 4,800 ft - option adds 800 ft
Day 3 - 3,900 ft
Day 4 option - 3,900 ft
Day 5 - 3,700 Ft
Day 6 - Option - 2,500 ft
Day 7 - 6,650 ft

I have a whole rack of statistics that compares the statistics for all 23 years that I will post on our website when the maps are done.
In general though:
miles without options is below average 364 vs 425 average
Miles with options is exactly average - 481 vs 493 average
Elevations w/o options is slightly above average 21,715 vs 20,412 average
Elevations with options is above average 27,133 vs 23,897

Thanks much. That is a good bit more than I had estimated and will be a real challenge for us old timers on a tandem. Guess I need to put a lot of climbing in our training plan.

Can you tell what program you use to get the elevation. I use mapmyride but have found that the elevations are not very accurate. I obviously couldn't use it for CO since I don't have the exact route.

Thanks
