Glad I took the leap! I went on the Red Robin Tour of Colorado in 1997. That was 430 miles and 3 passes over 11,000 ft, this course is more humane as opposed to super human. I love the Oregon Coast and the fact that the course is a loop. Time to do a train ride sans fenders and wearing sun glasses what a novelty in February.

Anyone have an official count? Sell out? Breaking any records?

Just received an email alert. As of mid day today, more than 2,000 have signed up already for the Week Ride. Tent and Porter is Sold Out no surprise there. Ride is slated to take 2200 and the usual waiting list is approximately 400-500 hundred which they will cut off when that fills.

amazing! I can see the day when a lottery system gets imposed for this tour. Just goes to show what quality will get you.

Last year was a record selling out and stopping of the waiting list within 2 week of the announcement. Looks like we could have an new record.

Lottery? Yah, I thought the same thing after last year's record sell-out. You could see this one coming, the way they promoted it. I guess that's good for the ride. But as a long time rider with plans to do many more, I sure hate the thought of a lottery system where you basically roll the dice. I've done other out of state rides where that is the case. As others have said, that's what quality and reputation for excellence will bring. At least, it's a positive for Oregon, and maybe that's the underlying intent, using the success of CO to promote more than just the ride?

So what's the count today? Anybody know? I'm in, but haven't heard from a couple of my buddies as to whether they made the jump or not...
The voices tell the stories. I just record them for posterity.

And the voices have some good ideas sometimes!
