Happy Happy Camp

Postby Marble » Mon Jul 19, 2010 8:01 am

Just got back from High School reunion in SisQ county and they loved CycleOregon in Happy Camp. Legend is that they had the best time partying with us ever in anyone's memory in Happy Camp. They have already installed the new gym floor in the High School and are looking forward to a great basketball season thanks to the $35,000 from CycleOregon.

We do make a difference in the towns we visit and are appreciated.

Great news! I know our bunch had a good time there...
The voices tell the stories. I just record them for posterity.

And the voices have some good ideas sometimes!

Marble,
Thanks for the info. We had a great time at one local establishment!! We purchased food and sweets from the fundraiser and had a blast!

That's good to hear. We had a good time there and a fabulous breakfast in the morning in town.

I've been on a bunch of Cycle Oregons and have many memorable moments from them. Coming in to Happy Camp and stopping at the gas station right at the edge of town for a beer (or several) was one of them. When we first got there, the beers were $3. By the second beer, $4. Later, $5. They probably could have charged more. But here we were, several senior execs from the entertainment industry, sitting next to a derelict gas station at a dilapidated table next to a bunch of used tires, realizing that this was a time to savor. You absolutely never know when or where these moments might pop up, but Cycle Oregon has provided more than its fair share.

The best part is the people in Happy Camp had just as much fun as we did.
