Cool. Going to Vegas in a couple of weeks. I've wanted a tatoo for over 25 years. Thinking about finally getting one. I've always wanted the same design but could never decide where to put it. This design may be a strong runner up.

Dunshay and Shifty
I asked my daughter, MS in graphic design (brag, brag), to design my tattoo. I was going to get it for my 50th but never did, always thought about it though. So, for my 54th I finally did it and LOVE it.

The fantastic, funny tatto artist is Felix at Black Lotus in Eugene, 541-434-8282. I was soooooooo nervous but Felix was great and funny. Tell him Suzi sent you. If you two want the design I can Email it to you.

We can show off our tat's at the beer garden!!

FYI, I have her on my outer, left ankle and she is facing forward.

Well, I go "under the needle" Friday afternoon. Almost as scary as my open heart surgery 8 years ago (NOT!!!!) Felix at Black Lotus is great to work with and he's going to "man-up" the caricature of the cyclist Suzy used. Also, I'm adding something that will encompass the cyclist (any guesses what that will be----No fair Suzy I told you already so don't spill the beans). Everyone will get a chance to see it on my left calf as they pass me on the HILLS in Sept. I'll be the one going about 3-4 mph (LOL). Better this year than last year tho'---lost 25 of a 33 lb. goal before the ride (YIPPEE!!).

2 live,

Nervous about Friday? Felix is great, you will have a good time.

3-4 mph up hills? Yup, that sounds right for me!

Add me into that group going up the hills at that speed. Maybe we can compare on the way up. The other design I want is the Sun Valley sun -- great memories of that place.

Perhaps the ride organizers might consider having "temporary" tattoos made up and selling them to raise money for the cause(s). A woman I know has some made every year for our local MS ride (7,000 people) and gives them away. With a spray bottle and sponge application takes about 20 seconds.

Suzie Q,

Your tat looks amazingly like a mural painted on the side of K Man Cyclery in Atasacadero, CA.

Dunshay04,

The tat session was great. Laid down, rested my head on a pillow for comfort, and tuned out what was going on below the knees. Went pretty fast. Felix was very appreciative that I was so mellow and just let him go at it. Actually, I just wanted to get it over with. Tenderest part was around toward the back of the calf muscle but not TOO bad at all. I attached a photo (I think) so let me know what you think. I had the same artist as SuziQT but I had him "man up" the cyclist. Can't be having a girlie lookin' tat on such a manly leg, now can we?

Ride,
Your tat looks great! My daughter, the designer, is thrilled to have two people with her art work for life!

Can't wait to compare them at CO!
