Parking

Postby Jackson » Mon Sep 06, 2010 6:09 am

Do you have your parking passes? If not, they will cost $10 more in Elgin. If you need one when you arrive, park first then deal with the pass. They should be available in the parking lot but will be at registration as well. The parking area is a good walk from the site. If my memory servers me, the cost on site will be $35 cash or check only.

I am assuming we are parking in the same place as in 08'? If so - yes the lot is a ways from camp. Just a short ride though on the bike.

That's my understanding as well. Forgot, you will have a bicycle so the journey won't be nearly as far.

According to the Google Maps around a 15 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride. :)

Can someone supply an address for long-term parking? Or a map link? We are coming in late and the signs might be down... Thanks!

You can't miss the parking. You will be coming into town on Hwy 82. The parking is there on Hwy 82 at the fairgrounds. It will be well marked and there is no way to miss it. It will be to your right.

We will be coming into town from Walla-Walla on 204. Will it be easy to find from that direction? Never been to Elgin before and we will be cutting it close to get there before the baggage truck leaves, so I don't want to muck about trying to figure out where to park.

No problem. When you get to the stop sign in Elgin (Hwy 82), take a right and go about 1/3 mile down the highway. The parking area will be on your left. There should be people directing you into the lot.
