Did Jonathan give a teaser for 2011 last night?

I'm already in for 2011, regardless of the route (missed this year) but it's fun to play the guessing game.

Yes,

He said it will contain the most scenic 83 mile stretch of road in Oregon that CO has not yet been to. Also that it will be fully in Oregon and not cross out of the state.

hmmmm, my hearing ain't d'best but I thought it was like,

"the best paved 80 miles of road in Oregon and that we haven't been on in 22 years"

Could be mistaken--Jonathan does have an accent you know!~!

OK, I went into the Oregonian blog site and here's what Lauren attributes to be Jonathan's teaser in quotes (verbatim)----but I still recall he said something right there about 22 years. Anybody else?????

"We are going to ride next year the finest 80 miles of paved road in Oregon that Cycle Oregon has never done. Go look at your maps and figure it out."

I think he said 23 years, not 22, so all previous rides.

But, does that help???

During last year's CO, I remember seeing a poster showing all of the CO routes taken to date projected onto an Oregon map. Does someone have a similar thing in electronic form?

TV, that could be a really good possibility. I checked on my Streets & Trips map program and Hwy. 207 for Hwy 74 in Heppner down to Hwy. 26 is 79.8 (80) miles. Anybody up that way familiar with the road. Is it fairly recently paved and really really nice? Doesn't much matter where cuz I'll be there, wherever it is barring any personal catastrophes.

India has a version of Cycle Oregon called "Ride the Rohtang". Pictured is a REST STOP. Notice the support vehicles in the background. But no SAG trucks!!!

Early routes were not made for public use. Only the last few routes have been available. CO might have posters for sale? Worth checking out at the kick off.

Well, that describes a good portion of the state of Oregon. Perhaps you're hinting at a stop at Heaven On Earth Bakery, where the cinnamon rolls are as big as your head (and much bigger than your stomach)? Give us another hint!

Trouble is, we've already been to Heaven on Earth Bakery. I am counting on you native Oregonians to help with other places containing words that follow the hint like: heaven, sky, angel, soar, high, celestial. How about the names of groves of redwoods? Waterfall names? Gorges? Lakes?
Come on.
