Music

Just a update on SAG's and music.

I believe the majority of the SAG vans this year will be equipped with external speakers for your listening enjoyment. The music will vary by van (as it's generally driver and radio operator choice). Genres will shift during the day (softer in the morning, heart pounding on the hills). However, if there is something you specifically have a hankering for, most likely one of us will have it. Just ask - we aim to please.

I would like to see a sag van doing a "Rick Roll" by as they cruise the route.

That would rule.

IMHO, Best songs for cycling to be played from a SAG wagon-

Bicycle Race - Queen (Must be in every cycling play list. It's the law)
Cool, Clear Water - Sons of the Pioneers (On hot climbs, trust me on this one!)
Bad Motor Scooter - Montrose
Slow Ride - Foghat
Runnin' Down a Dream - Tom Petty
Danger Zone - Kenny Loggins (only at the top of big hills just before we descend)
I was made for loving you - KISS (great driving beat, inane lyrics make you want to run away)
American Woman - Lenny Kravitz (slow beat great for climbing steep hills)
Radar Love - Golden Earring
1 Bourbon 1 Scotch 1 Beer - George Thorogood
Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy
I Wanna be Sedated - The Ramones
Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
Riding the Storm Out - REO Speedwagon

And finally, to be played in the last 10 miles of Day 7...
Momma I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne

I keep requesting Ozzy's "Diary of a Madman" but nobody will play it...
The voices tell the stories. I just record them for posterity.

And the voices have some good ideas sometimes!
