Possible future CO spot

Postby dunshay04 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 5:58 pm

Just read this article and thought, this sounds like a perfect CO spot: http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-north ... rt_se.html. CO hasn't been to John Day/Prairie City/Grant County since 2002. They got close in 2006 when they went to Sumpter. We've been waiting for John Day.

When I was in the eighth and ninth grade we lived at the state highway compound just beyond Austin Junction and went fishing in that pond regularly. There were some really nice trout caught in that pond. The mill, store, etc. were still open then...
The voices tell the stories. I just record them for posterity.

And the voices have some good ideas sometimes!

My husband was born in Prairie City and was raised in John Day. He remembers the pond and town so we are really hoping CO gets over there soon.

I rode over from Baker City to Prairie City, John Day to Mitchell on the Transam route this summer. Roads were quiet and the landscape breathtaking.
