Does anyone know the name of the bagpiper who played on the road ascending out of Ashland?

His name is Kevin Carr - you can find his website here: http://www.kevincarr.org/carr_family_band/, or if URL doesn't show, search Carr Family Band.

Thank you, Tom. I sent a thank-you note to Mr. Carr. One cannot fail to be cheered by bagpipes.

I too loved having the bagpiper there!
I would love to see one every year at the TOP of the most epic climb of the week. I thought for sure I was nearing the top when I heard the sound but nay, I was a long way off!

Kevin Carr had this message for me, which I will pass on for the good of the order:

That was a great morning, and I am glad the sounds of the pipes helped get you up the hill

It was a thrill to see everyone charging up that monumental grade.

all the best,
Kevin
