Laundry Service?

Postby GHIONIK » Wed Sep 05, 2007 2:09 pm

Will any of the towns (like one of the schools did last year) offer laundry services during the week? It was really nice to support the Union school last year and even better to have clean clothes for the duration of the ride.

You never know about laundry service, but I have always found some one to do my laundry for a donation. Just ask the baggage porters, they are usually local and usually know someone who knows everything.

The Diamond Lake lodge has a coin laundry for campers.
Sisters also has a coin laundry.

Check with Rider Services as you get to each town.

You guys trust other people with your bike clothes??
Not me and I never trust the weather to get them dry at night.
If you wear underwear you can use shorts for two days, and
change your top each day.

Alternately, you can just turn your padded bike shorts inside out and wear them the second day.....

Maybe this is why not many people draft behind me?

Shorts inside out

Postby danfromvan » Sun Feb 10, 2008 2:34 am

I know this is for the 2007 ride but I couldn't let this one end here.

I tried turning my bike shorts inside out but the chamois butt'r kept making me slide off the saddle  .

See you all in 2008,
Dan
