$925.00, I haven't done the ride in two years. Was it this much last year? For 2 people with fee's, tent porter, permit, and gas for travel it might easily hit ~$2500.00+ with all the goodies bought along the way, right? Just checking my math.

PDX poor man's math : $925 includes do it yourself lodging, all the food and non alcholic drinks you want. $25 splitting parking and tank of gas with 3 buddies. $ 25 tips for kids hauling bags. $ 25 souvenirs ect. $1000 each for a whole weeks vacation! Cheaper than a weekend in Vegas :)

I just checked, CO 2013 was $895 plus $30 for the week-long parking permit. Not counting tent and porter, for those so inclined.

That said, I had a blast on last year's CO and wouldn't miss this year's for anything. Not even a tense 20 minute signup process could keep me away. 8)

In 2011 it was $850, T&P was $350, but bus ride was $130 RT (it was farther away) Overall, not much of an increase in 3 years, considering...hubby and I still feel it's well worth the week of beautiful countryside, new friendships, and all meals/entertainment included.....yahoooo!!!!

$ 925.00 plus a small donation to CO Fund….priceless! It extends the Alaska road riding season by a week at least!!

Good stuff often costs some coin. As leat you don't have to fly from the east coast and get hotel rooms before and after the start like I have had to for my 4 COs. And compared to Europe, it's a bargain. Shelled out $1,300 for a round trip to/from Venice, Italy last year, and that didn't include the $200 for the bike each way or the ground transportation to the residence where I stayed.
