newby question: coffee

Postby HulaGator » Thu Sep 10, 2015 11:35 am

Is there a special service that I can sign up for to get coffee every morning? If so, how do you sign up? Thanks.

Brewed/drip coffee is provided at the beverage tent.

Last year I saw a bicycle coffee stand at one of the rest stops early in the ride. Was bummed that I couldn't try his great coffee at the time. I hope to see him again this year as I am back to enjoying coffee with caffeine.

Nossa Familia coffee, from Brazil, is there every morning - I believe they are back again this year according to the ride details. Great people.

Nossa Familia sets up a stand. The coffee roaster on the bike is another cool company, but different. Plenty of caffeine on the ride!

just like with the beer garden, you can purchase a punch card ahead of time A(when you arrive in Baker). This will same you time in the morning.

They did have a private coffee service one or two years. I think it fizzled.

There's a rider from Trailwinds coffee out of Portland. He rides a cargo bike and brews cold brew coffee at one of the first rest stops. The equipment for brewing is transported by the stop but the cargo bike needs to be ridden. He has a glass gravity fed system that is worth a look and a try if that's your thing. Not sure if he is doing the ride or not, check at Rider Services.
