music requests

Postby Jackson » Wed Jul 23, 2008 9:38 pm

As a sag driver, I have little to do most days but hang out on the side of the road and assist as needed. We bring along music to entertain ourselves but I am taking request for artists or songs to have on hand during the week. Who would you like me to have along on the ride?

Thanks,

If you have Jimmy Buffet playing I'll be a happy cycler for miles and miles and miles. Thanks for asking! :)

Got everybody covered so far.

Any other special request, please let me know. I've brought along peanut butter and jelly and made sandwiches in Fort Rock for riders. I have very limited space but am always happy to help.

There's a great version of My Favorite Things by John Coltrane.

I sat here imagining a sag wagon blasting up a hill playing it and it made me smile.

Seems like the perfect match to Cycle Oregon

Pink Floyd, as mentioned previously, but make sure to have the Meddle album. There's a great song called "Fearless", which I'm sure many are familiar - the lyrics go "You say the hill's too steep to climb...you say you'd like to see me try...I'll climb the hill in my own way..."

Thanks for taking requests! Something AFTER 2000 perhaps?

Fleet Foxes
The Frames
My Morning Jacket
Feist
Death Cab...

Some oldskool Blues wouldn't be bad either... :-)

Cheers

Keith.

I suppose I'm alone with requests from the jazz fusion genre.

Return to Forever!

Sorry kids no sing along s here but rock and jazz melding in a brilliant flurry of instrumental virtuosity. (the Portland show in June was life altering)

Got everyone covered right now. Although some of these artists I don't really like, I've got at least one song from an artist on your lists. This also helps me look at artists I may have not heard of and might be interested in.

Thanks
