Official Maps - so you can print a copy to take with...

Postby leisure1 » Wed Aug 12, 2009 10:36 pm

OK – enough with the whining! I have posted the official maps on our website so that you can print a copy. I like to make a throw away set to take with me and keep the ones they give us as a keepsake.
If you have any questions about the maps or suggestions on how to improve them please let me know.
Couple things to let you know about.
All of the profiles have the same horizontal and vertical scale. You may have some apprehension about the difficulty of the ride – I can’t make that any easier for you – but after you climb the hill on Day 1 – you can compare that hill to the rest of the week and figure out how much trouble you are in…
These may not be final…. The staff will be out on the course a couple more times and tweak some of the rest stop locations – but I doubt they will change the overall route…

Enjoy!

Thanks for all the work!

I prefer to do as you note - print copies of these and keep the ones they give us to look at later and reminisce about the trip.

Both SAG 4 and SAG 5 plan on having laminated prints of all day's maps posted on the side of the SAG for those who have lost / misplaced.

Thanks also for adding the GPX files. I know you don't really need a GPS to navigate the well-marked routes, but it is still a great thing to have.
